Erik and Zac set off to create a company around creating quality when it comes to doors. They both noticed that every homeowner seems to have “the front door” conversation. This is the portal to the home. This is a piece of carpentry seen and passed through every day. It is the first thing that people notices. Whether they see it from across the street or knock on it, it sets a precedence.
The name Dalet Doors comes from the fourth letter of the Hebrew alphabet. The letter dalet (ד) holds the meaning of door in the ancient Paleolithic Hebrew language. This letter holds the spiritual meaning of selflessness and lowliness as every blessing and success is from God.1Rabbi Yitzchak Ginsburgh, The Hebrew Letters: Channels of Creative Consciousness (Rechovot, Israel: Linda Pinsky Publications, 1990), 68.
It was Christ who said, “I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture” (John 10:9). Jesus taught that salvation is through him. And it was Christ who entered with great humiliation into the role of a servant that would listen at the door of his Father’s house.
Erik and Zac are Christians that believer their work should reflect their faith. They take care to do quality work creating a positive experience for their customers.
